In the Vandevi temple, stones are offered to the Mother Goddess instead of Prasad. This stone is found in the fields and is called the Gota stone. It is believed that devotees offer five stones to the Mother Goddess with a true heart to seek her blessings and express their wishes.
History of Vanadevi Temple
Local people say that the history of this temple is more than 100 years old. No one knows who brought the idol of Mata established here or from where it came. People say that earlier there was a forest here, later the village was built. The idol of Mata was placed under the tree, where a small temple was built.
