Kafli Recipe

Ingredients-

  • 2- Gaddi Spinach
  • 4- Garlic cloves
  • ½ inch - ginger
  • 2- Green chilli
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • Coriander powder - 1/4th spoon
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - Oil
  • 1 - Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1- Tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1- cup gram flour

How to make-

  • To make Kafli, first, sort the spinach and wash it thoroughly. Then put water in a pan and keep the spinach to cook.
  • If you want, you can also add garlic cloves to it and after the spinach is cooked, grind it in a grinder by adding green chillies, garlic cloves, and ginger.
  • Then prepare a batter by adding gram flour and water in another bowl.
  • Now put oil in a pan and keep it for heating. When the oil becomes hot, add chopped onion, tomato etc. and cook.
  • Then add all the spices and mix. Then add gram flour batter and mix well and prepare the gravy. Your Kafli is ready.

Potato Amaranth Greens

Ingredients required-

  • 500 grams - Amaranth
  • 4- Garlic cloves
  • to taste - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin
  • 1/3 cup - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - Ginger
  • 2- bay leaf
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp - Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric

How to make-

  • To make greens, first cut the amaranth and then wash it thoroughly. After washing, leave the greens to dry thoroughly.
  • Now heat oil in a pan and then add cumin, bay leaf, ginger and garlic and fry lightly.
  • After two to three minutes, put onion in the pan and cook it well and then add salt, garam masala and other ingredients and mix it well.
  • Then keep it on the gas after cooking for some time till it becomes soft without covering it on medium flame. If you want, you can also add boiled potatoes or cheese to it.
  • Cook for about 5 minutes after adding potatoes and serve hot.

Kashmiri Saag Recipe

Ingredients required-

  • 1- Bunch of spinach
  • 5-6- Dry Kashmiri red chillies
  • 7-8- garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp - Mustard oil
  • to taste - salt
  • 1 tsp - cumin
  • 1 tsp - Fennel seeds

How to make-

  • To make Kashmiri Saag, first, wash and chop the spinach. After cutting, take out the stem of the spinach.
  • Now heat mustard oil in a pressure cooker and when the smoke starts rising, add chopped garlic.
  • Then brown the garlic lightly. If you want, you can also add a pinch of asafoetida at this time. Apart from this, cumin seeds can also be added to it.
  • Now roast the dry Kashmiri red chillies in the cooker and when the colour changes. Then add spinach to it and after stirring a little, add less salt and stir well.
  • No other spices will be needed in this saag. Now spinach will start releasing water in a minute or two. When this happens, add some more water to it and pressure cooks it for two whistles.
  • After cooking, take it out in a bowl and serve it with hot rice or rotis.
