Boondi laddus are very tasty to make and are distributed on special occasions. Today we have brought you the recipe for making Bundi laddu. Let us know how you can make it.
Ingredients:
500 grams of flour
A pinch of yellow food color
600 grams water
1/2 kilogram ghee
2 big pinches of melon seeds
A pinch of cardamom powder (cardamom powder)
4 threads of saffron
For the syrup: 4 cups water, 2 cups sugar
Instruction:
First of all, take a bowl and add gram flour, food color, and water in it. Mix them well to make a thick batter.
Prepare a thick batter of gram flour.
After preparing the batter, start making the syrup.
Add 4 cups water and 2 cups sugar in a pan. Keep it on medium flame.
First, boil it on medium flame, and then increase the flame to high while stirring continuously to prepare the sugar syrup.
After 10-15 minutes, take a drop of syrup between your fingers and check the consistency of the syrup. If 2-3 strings form when touched, then the syrup is ready.
To make boondi, heat ghee in a pan.
Place a ladle or slotted spoon over the pan and pour the batter over it.
Gradually small drops will form from the batter and fall into the ghee.
If the boondi is becoming long instead of round then add a little more butter to the batter and make it thick.
Take out the fried boondi from the ghee and keep it on tissue paper to remove excess oil.
Once you have prepared the boondi, dip them in hot sugar syrup.
Keep stirring the boondi in the syrup continuously. They will absorb the syrup.
Lower the flame and add cardamom powder and a pinch of food color. Also, add saffron threads.
Mix everything well and turn off the flame after some time.
Keep stirring the boondi until it is completely coated in syrup.
The syrup should neither be too thick nor too thin. Now sprinkle melon seeds on it.
Let the boondi cool for some time and then start shaping it into small round laddus.
