  • Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
  • The last five digits of the chassis number registered on the vehicle

Visit the website of the Transport Department

You can visit the official website of your state transport department. These websites include:

  • Transport Services (parivahan.gov.in)
  • mParivahan (mParivahan.gov.in)

Go to the PUC Application Portal

  • On the website, click on the “PUC” or “Pollution Check” link. This will take you to the PUC application portal.
  • Enter vehicle details. On the portal, you have to enter your vehicle registration number and the last five digits of the chassis number.

Pay fee

  • First of all, go to the website of Transport Service https://puc.parivahan.gov.in/puc/.
  • Now click on the PUC Status option.
  • After this enter the vehicle registration number.
  • Enter the last five digits of the vehicle's chassis number.
  • Now enter the captcha code and submit.
  • Finally, the pollution certificate of your vehicle will be issued.
  • You can print the pollution certificate by clicking on the print option.

After successful payment, you can download the new certificate or the lost PUC certificate. You can also download the certificate from your computer as a PDF file. You can also print it to carry it with you later.

Keep these things in mind before registering PUC certificate:

  • The validity of a PUC certificate is only for 6 months or 1 year, it also depends on the type of your vehicle.
  • The list of centres for PUC certificates is available on the website.
  • You can get your PUC test done by visiting any PUC testing centre registered by the government.
  • If your vehicle does not meet the pollution test standards of the department, then you will have to follow the rules issued by the RTO department to reduce the pollution level of the vehicle.
