Meera Chopra, the cousin of global actress Priyanka Chopra, has filed an FIR against interior designer Rajinder Dewan. Rajinder Devan was working in Meera Chopra's new house in Andheri, Mumbai. According to Meera, Rajinder attacked her and the matter increased to the point that Rajinder threw Meera out of her own house.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Rajinder Dewan has been booked under sections 354 (insult to a woman), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (2) (criminal intimidation), and 509 (insult to a woman) have gone. In an interview, the actress said that she had decided to work on a total of ₹ 17 lakhs. Then I was asked to pay fifty percent of the amount. She said that she did not know the designer, yet Meera decided to trust him and paid the amount demanded. Then he had to go to Banaras for shooting.
Meera Chopra further told that she felt that the material used was very poor, while Meera had already told all these things to her. After this, when Meera asked to change the wood and ply, she said that now the laborers will stop working. According to Meera, the designer abused her and threw her out of the house. The actress said, 'Imagine that he threw me out of my own house.'
Meera Chopra further said that it has been two months since the FIR was lodged but no action has been taken on it yet. Earlier, while talking about her struggle in the industry, Meera Chopra said in an interview, 'When I was stepping into Bollywood, there was only one discussion that Priyanka's sister is also coming, but to be honest, I Never faced comparisons. The work I got was not because of Priyanka but because of me. If I ever needed a producer, they didn't cast me because I am Priyanka Chopra's sister.
