Rasa (taste) – madhura (sweet), amla (sour), kashay (astringent)
Guna (qualities) – Laghu (light to digest), Snigdha (greasy, oily)
Virya (power) - Anushna (neither cold nor hot).
Vipaka (taste change after digestion) – Madhura or Amla
Effects on Tridosha:
Sweet Pomegranate balances the Tridoshas - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
Sour pomegranate balances Vata and Kapha and increases pitta.
