What is Vishwakarma Yojana?
Under Vishwakarma Yojana, artisans having traditional skills like goldsmiths, blacksmiths, barbers, and cobblers get many benefits. The government has included 18 traditional skill occupations in this scheme. This scheme will help the artisans and craftsmen present in rural and urban areas in India.
Who gets the benefit of this scheme?
-People who are boat builders, blacksmiths
-Those who break stones
-Locksmiths
-Makers and people who make baskets/mats/brooms
-Cobblers/shoemakers are artisans and tailors
-If you are a doll and toy manufacturer
-There are garlanders and washermen
-Stone cutters, fishing net
-People who are gunsmiths or sculptors
-If you are a mason
-Who are hammer and toolkit manufacturers
-Barbers
-People who work as goldsmiths etc.
How to apply
If you are eligible and your age is 18 years or more, you can apply by visiting the nearest Jan Seva Kendra.
Go there and get your documents verified and your eligibility will also be checked.
After everything is found correct in the investigation, your application is submitted.
What benefits do you get?
After joining the scheme, people are given advanced training, for which a daily stipend of Rs 500 is given.
15 thousand rupees are given to buy the toolkit
There is a provision to give loan of first one lakh rupees and then an additional two lakh rupees and that too without guarantee and at affordable interest rates.
Beneficiaries will get facilities like incentives.
