The central government is currently running many types of schemes. One of these schemes is Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Yojana. Under this scheme, the objective is to provide free electricity to one crore houses in the country. Under this scheme, 300 units of free electricity are being given to the beneficiaries and the benefit of subsidy is also being given. You have to install rooftop solar panels, for which you get a subsidy which is sent directly to your bank account. You can apply sitting at home like this:-
Step 1
If you also want to benefit by joining this scheme, then you will have to apply.
For this, first of all, go to the official website of the scheme pmsuryaghar.gov.in.
Then here you have to click on the option 'Apply for Rooftop'
Step 2
After this, you have to select the name of your state and electricity distribution company.
Now you have to enter your electricity consumer number i.e. connection number
Then fill in your mobile number and email ID
Step 3
Now login with the consumer number and mobile number and fill in the form that appears.
After this, you will get feasibility approval, after which you can get the plant installed from any vendor registered with your DISCOM.
Step 4
Once solar panels are installed, you have to apply for a net meter along with plant information.
After the net meter is installed, there will be an inspection by DISCOM and then you are issued a commissioning certificate from the portal.
After this, submit your bank account information and cancel the cheque, after which the subsidy amount is credited to your bank account.
