The Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is operated by the Central Government. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to crores of poor and needy farmers in the country. An installment of Rs 2-2 thousand is given every four months, that is, farmers get a total benefit of Rs 6 thousand annually from this scheme. In this series, after the release of 15 installments, now the 16th installment is to be released, which can be released around February-March. But do you know that before the release of this installment, the names of many beneficiaries may be less? Probably not, but it could happen. So let us know what are the reasons behind this. You can know about this in the next slides...

Similar things were seen in the installments released earlier also. Where the number of beneficiaries decreased due to some reason or other. There are many reasons behind this, which you will learn about here.

These are the reasons which the number of beneficiaries may decrease:-
There are many farmers who, despite being ineligible, apply for this scheme wrongly or are availing the benefits wrongly. In such a situation, the government adopted a strict stance and canceled the applications of such farmers. Notices are also issued to such farmers by the government. Something similar can be seen in the future also.

One reason for the decrease in the number of beneficiaries is that farmers are not getting their land verification done. This rule has already been decided by the government that the farmers associated with the scheme must get this done.

At the same time, the names of farmers who have not done e-KYC are also excluded from the beneficiary list and this can be seen during the 16th installment. Therefore, if you are eligible and want your name to be left out of the beneficiary list, then get e-KYC done.

If you too have not got e-KYC done, then you can get this work done by visiting the official portal of PM Kisan Yojana pmkisan.gov.in.
Apart from this, e-KYC can also be done by visiting your nearest public service center.
Also, this work can be done by going to the nearest bank.
