The Central Government sent the 15th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to the accounts of farmers in November. Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance of Rs 6 thousand annually to the farmers. An amount of Rs 2,000 each under PM Kisan Yojana is sent to the farmers' accounts in 3 installments at an interval of every 4 months. After receiving the 15th installment, farmers are now waiting for the 16th installment. Registration for the 16th installment has started.
Do e-KYC and geo-verification from home
'The PM Kisan App' equipped with a face authentication feature has been launched by the Central Government. By using this face authentication feature, farmers can do e-KYC through a face scan while sitting at home. Along with this, farmers will not need OTP or fingerprints. It is believed that the government may release the amount for the 16th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme between February 2024 and March 2024.
It has been said by the government that through this app, all the data of the farmers will be available to the government. Because of this, there will be no problem in providing any kind of benefit to the farmers. The government said that this mobile app has new features, due to which fraud in the PM Kisan Scheme can be easily stopped.
What are the features of the app?
This new one can be easily downloaded from the Google Play Store. From the app, farmers will get many important information related to PM Kisan accounts. In this, by using the Know Your Status module, farmers can get information about land seeding, linking Aadhaar with bank accounts and e-KYC status.
The Agriculture Department is also providing India Post Payment Bank facility on the app to the beneficiaries to open Aadhaar linked bank accounts at their doorstep.
