This financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is released into the farmers' accounts every year through three installments. Under each installment, the government sends Rs 2,000 to the farmers' accounts. Recently, on February 28, the Central Government had sent the money for the 16th installment to the accounts of the farmers. More than 1 month has passed since the installment was released. If media reports are to be believed, the Central Government may release the 17th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the month of June or July after the Lok Sabha elections.
