If you are going to apply for a pucca house under the PM Awas Yojana, then first know one thing the applicant must be a citizen of India. Also, your age should be 18 years or more.

Who is eligible for the scheme?

If we talk about eligibility, then according to the eligibility list, people who have a BPL card can join this scheme. Apart from this, if your income is low or you do not have a residential unit, then you are also considered eligible for the scheme.

Know these terms and conditions:-
The annual income of those applying in the Economic Weaker Section i.e. EWS should be between Rs 0-3 lakh.
If you are applying in a Lower Income Group i.e. LIG, then your annual income should be between Rs 3-6 lakh.
For applying in Middle Income Group 1 i.e. MIG 1, the annual income should be Rs 6-12 lakh.
Whereas, for applying in Middle Income Group 2 i.e. MIG 2, the annual income should be between Rs 12-18 lakh.

People who cannot avail of the benefits under PM Awas Yojana, that is, those who are ineligible for the scheme, include these people...

Those who have a government job or any member of the family has a government job

Who owns a company, who already has a permanent house in an urban or rural area?

Whose annual income is more than the prescribed limit etc.
