Rules for serving Shraddha food
During Shraddha Paksha, Pitru Patra is first taken out. That is, a plate is served to the ancestors for the ancestors. While serving it, always keep the plate in the opposite direction and make a line of ashes.
To serve food, use plates made of banana leaves or leaves of a tree called moha.
Whenever you serve food to Brahmins, keep in mind that during Shraddha food, do not keep any separate names on their plate.
Always serve cooked food or sweets like puri or laddu with your hands. Spoons can be used for other things.
Method of serving Shraddha food
For Shraddha, the ingredients are mentioned in the four parts i.e. left, right, front, and middle of the plate.
First of all, apply desi ghee to the plate.
After this, serve rice and kheer in the middle.
Serve vegetables etc. on the right side.
After this, serve chutney, kachumar lemon, etc. on the left side.
Keep items like kadhi, papad, pakoda, and laddu in the front.
Lastly, serve desi ghee and tempered dal over rice.
