If you are also an Android user then there is good news for you. Google is soon going to release a new version of its Phone app, after which the history of WhatsApp calls will also be visible in the calling app.
The new feature is currently being tested on the beta version of the Google Phone app. Many users have confirmed the presence of the new video call shortcut feature in the Cophone app. The Google Meet option will also be available in the Google Phone app.
According to a report by 9to5Google, the new feature has been seen in some Pixel phones and other devices. Many users have also shared screenshots of this upcoming feature of the Google Phone app on X.
In the screenshot, WhatsApp call history can be seen in the Google Phone Call app. Apart from this, the history of video calls and messages is also visible. Many people may be angry about this feature because people usually talk about private things on WhatsApp and also keep the app locked. The new feature is ending the privacy of WhatsApp.
It is not yet clear whether this new feature of the phone app will support only WhatsApp or will also support apps like Telegram and Signal. The new feature can be seen on Google Phone v124.0.608164421-public beta and Whatsapp 2.24.6.6 beta version.
