Ranbir Kapoor is expecting his first child with Alia Bhatt. Alia had announced her pregnancy on social media last month and many thought it was an activity related to the promotion of her next film 'Brahmastra'. Ranbir broke his silence on this and said that his personal life has nothing to do with his work.
Ranbir said in an interview to Hindustan Times, 'Alia and I, as a married couple, thought that it would be right to tell the world about Alia's pregnancy because we felt it was the right time. We just wanted to share happiness with the world and there was no other thought about it.
While Alia Bhatt loves to spend time on Instagram, Ranbir is yet to make his presence known on social media. When asked about joining social media, he said that the new chapter of his life did not compel him to do so. He says, 'No, it didn't compel me at all. I am very happy where I am in my life.
Ranbir-Alia came close to each other on the sets of 'Brahmastra'
Ranbir had no idea of joining social media. He says, 'My opinion is the same as it has been for the last few years.' Ranbir and Alia tied the knot in Mumbai in April this year. They came close to each other while working on 'Brahmastra'. They dated each other for a long time before marriage.
'Brahmastra' to release on September 9
In season 7 of Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee With Karan', Alia said that the chemistry between the two first started because of a bad seat on a plane. Alia and Ranbir had once left for Tel Aviv by plane in connection with 'Brahmastra'. The actress revealed that they could not sit together due to a defect in a seat. Alia and Ranbir will be seen working together for the first time in their film 'Brahmastra'. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film will release on September 9.
