Ingredients to make Makhani Paneer Biryani
250 grams paneer cut into cubes, 2 teaspoons whole spices, 3 teaspoons ghee, 1 large onion, finely chopped, 3 teaspoons butter, 2 cups tomato puree, 2-3 green chilies, 3-4 garlic, 1 teaspoon ginger, One teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon cumin-coriander powder, 1 teaspoon tandoori masala, 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 cup cashew paste, 1/2 cup cream, salt as per taste, 6 cups boiled basmati Rice, 1 roasted onion, 1/2 cup almonds, 1/2 cup mint, and coriander leaves
How to make Makhani Paneer Biryani
Step 1: To make Makhani Paneer Biryani, first put the paneer pieces cut into pieces in ghee and sprinkle light spices on top and keep aside.
Step 2: Put a pan on the gas and fry it by adding whole spices like cinnamon, cloves, black cardamom, green cardamom, and black pepper. After that add onion, green chili, ginger, and garlic to the pan and stir well for two minutes. Then add tomato puree to it and cook on low flame for ten minutes. After all the spices and vegetables are cooked, add cashew paste and cream to it.
Step 3: Now add the paneer that was kept aside in the pan and mix. Let it cook for six to eight minutes on low flame.
Step 4: Meanwhile boil the basmati rice.
To boil the rice, wash it thoroughly three to four times. Now put water in the washed rice and keep it for 30 minutes. Pour water into a large pot, cover, and leave the rice to boil well on medium heat. Keep in mind that keep more water. When the rice boils and starts mashing easily with the finger, filter it with a big sieve and spread it on a plate. If the water drains well, put one spoon of ghee in it and leave it, but will not stir it with a spoon. Rice will bloom in some time.
Step 5: Fry one onion well on a low flame.
Step 6: Then grease a pan with oil. Put paneer and rice together on it. Put fried onions and coriander leaves over it and keep it covered on a low flame for 20-25 minutes.
