These days there is a lot of discussion about PAN cards due to the linking of PAN cards with Aadhaar (PAN-Aadhaar Link). Pan Card is a very important document. It is needed from a bank account to filling income tax. If you are also thinking of linking the PAN card, then check once that you do not have more than one PAN card somewhere. As per the rules, a person should have only one PAN card. But many times a person gets more than one PAN card due to applying more than once or for any other reason. If you also have more than one PAN card, rectify this mistake in time and surrender the duplicate PAN card because if the Income Tax Department comes to know about it, then you can get into a lot of trouble. Know here how to surrender your PAN card.
In these situations, more than one PAN card can be made
Many times people apply for a PAN card and it does not come within the stipulated time, then they apply again and again. In such a situation, many times two PAN cards can come.
If there is any kind of mistake in the PAN card, then many times people apply for a new PAN card instead of making corrections. Even in this case, the person gets two PAN cards.
If a woman changes her surname after marriage, then she has to apply for a new PAN card multiple times and thus she has two PAN cards.
These can be disadvantages
According to the rules of the Income Tax Department, if a person has two PAN cards, then he can be fined Rs 10,000 or he can have to serve a minimum sentence of 6 months, or both can be punished and fined.
Apart from this, having two PAN cards can spoil your credit profile. Actually, before giving the loan, the bank verifies your documents. In such a situation, having two PAN cards, the person can be considered a fraudster and his loan can be rejected. In such a situation, the bank can also blacklist many times.
