Ingredients for Oats Idli

1 cup oats
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1 small tbsp cumin
1 tbsp urad dal
1 tbsp chana dal
2 tbsp cashew nuts (finely chopped)
cup semolina
half cup curd
1/4 cup green peas
1/4 cup coriander leaves (finely chopped)
1 small carrot (grated)
1 tbsp green chilli (finely chopped)
1 tbsp ginger (grated)
1/2 tbsp curry leaves
salt (as per taste)
1/2 cup water or as required
1/4 tbsp black pepper powder
1 packet eno

How to make Oats Idli

1. To make Oats Idli, first grind the oats in a mixer.

2. When the oats are well ground, take them out in a vessel and keep them aside.

3. Now put oil in a pan and heat it on the gas.

4. When the oil becomes slightly hot, then add cumin, mustard seeds, urad dal and gram dal and fry it on low flame.

5. When all the ingredients are lightly roasted, then add finely chopped cashew nuts and roast them on low flame.

6. When all the ingredients are roasted well, then add semolina to it and roast it along with the rest of the ingredients on low flame.

7. Now in it, add ground oats and fry it lightly on low flame.

8. When all the ingredients are roasted well, take them off the gas and keep them in a separate vessel to cool down.

9. Now add curd, carrot, green peas, coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger, black pepper, curry leaves, salt and these to the roasted ingredients and mix them well.

10. When all the ingredients are mixed well, add water to it and mix it again.

11. Now leave the idli batter covered for 10 minutes.

12. On the other hand, put water in the idli mold box and keep it on the gas to heat up.

13. Now put oil in the idli mold and put the prepared batter in it and leave it to steam for 12 to 15 minutes.

When Oats Idli is ready, eat it hot with green chutney or almond chutney.
