A special court in Mumbai has allowed Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan's plea to return his passport. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has given a clean chit to Aryan Khan in the cruise drugs case.

Aryan had submitted his passport before the court under the conditions of his bail. He was arrested on October 3 last year in a high-profile drug case. However, the probe agency did not include Aryan's name as an accused in the charge sheet filed in May. NCB had released Aryan Khan and five others for 'lack of sufficient evidence'.

On June 30, Aryan applied before a special court related to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, requesting the return of the passport. The NCB, in its reply to 24-year-old Aryan's plea, had said that he had no objection to the passport being returned.

Special judge VV Patil then allowed Aryan's plea. Aryan was arrested by the NCB on October 3 last year after a raid on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai. Aryan had to spend 20 days in jail before the Bombay High Court allowed his bail plea.
