It is important to know these things before applying for the scheme:-
Only those people who do not have a residential unit can avail of benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
At the same time, if you come under the BPL category or low-income group, then you are considered eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.
People who are 18 years of age can apply under the scheme. But if those who apply before 18 years of age, such applications are canceled.
People who are citizens of India and fulfill the remaining conditions are also considered eligible to join the scheme.
People who already own a house are not eligible for the scheme
At the time of application, you need some documents and their copies, such as an Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Ration Card, Passport Size Photo, Income Certificate, Caste Certificate, Registered Mobile Number, Age Certificate, and Bank Account. Number and bank passbook etc.
It is necessary to fulfill this condition:-
The annual income of those applying for the Economic Weaker Section i.e. EWS should be between Rs 0-3 lakh.
The annual income of those applying in the Lower Income Group i.e. LIG should be between Rs 3-6 lakh.
To apply in Middle Income Group 1 i.e. MIG 1, the annual income should be between Rs 6-12 lakh and to apply in Middle Income Group 2 i.e. MIG 2 the annual income should be between Rs 12-18 lakh.
