Addressing a program jointly organized by the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) and the RSS-affiliated All India Itihaas Sankalp Yojana, the Union Minister said that history books are being re-published with new and corrected editions. This history will help the students to know in detail about the history, culture, and languages of the country. This change is being done under the National Education Policy. Mother tongue has been given priority in NEP because it is futile to provide education without giving priority to the mother tongue.
The Union Minister further said in his address, "We should give a new global perspective to the ancient culture and civilization of India in the 21st century.
