Antioxidant-Rich Food
Experts say that during menopause, there are a lot of hormonal changes which affect the metabolism, and you become lethargic, in such a situation you should consume antioxidant-rich food. Leafy vegetables, colourful fruits, spinach, tomatoes, and pomegranate are antioxidant-rich foods. Eating them helps in providing relief from hot flashes and vaginal dryness and discomfort. The nutrients present in these help in maintaining vitality in the vaginal tissues.
Calcium Rich Food
During menopause, there is a huge decline in calcium in the body, due to which bones can become weak and there is a risk of fracture. In such a situation, to strengthen these bones, calcium-rich foods like milk, curd, and cheese, apart from this, sun exposure is also necessary to increase the vitamin D level.
Soya food
Experts recommend eating soy or soy products because they contain natural estrogens that can replace the loss of estrogen due to menopause.
Vitamin B12 and Omega 3
Experts recommend eating foods rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and Vitamin B12 like chia seeds, flaxseed, salmon, and tuna fish. These foods can help improve mood.
Exercise
Women should follow regular exercise. It can help in managing mood swings, strengthening bones and increasing weight due to menopause.
