Chili Soya Nuggets is a vegetarian, fusion recipe that will appeal to people of all ages. For this simple snack dish, soya chunks are cooked in a Chinese-style gravy.

This fusion dish is prepared by roasting marinated soya chunks in a paste of cornflour, oil, and garlic and then cooking them with vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, onion, capsicum, green chilies, and Ajinomoto. If you are bored with the usual Chinese appetizers of Chilli Chicken, Chilli Paneer, etc., then try this unique snack dish which is a treat for all vegetarians.

Ingredients of Chili Soya Nuggets

500 grams soya nuggets
2 tsp soy sauce
2 pieces of spring onions
2 tbsp garlic paste
2 medium capsicum (green chili)
1/2 tsp Ajinomoto
3 tablespoons vinegar
4 pieces of green chilies
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Salt as required
2 tbsp corn flour
1 1/2 tbsp tomato ketchup

2 tbsp coriander leaves

How to Make Chili Soya Nuggets

Marinate 1 soya chunks
To make this dish, firstly add soya chunks, cornflour, salt, and garlic paste in a pan and mix it well. Mix the ingredients well with your hands. Keep this mixture aside without washing till further requirement.

Lightly fry 2 soya chunks
Now heat oil in a pan on medium heat. When the oil is hot enough, add the marinated soya chunks to it. Fry lightly and then take it off the flame.

3 Fry vegetables with sauce
After this, heat the remaining oil after frying the soya chunks. When the oil is hot, add chopped onion, chopped capsicum, and chopped green chilies to it. Fry for a minute and then add salt along with Ajinomoto, soy sauce, vinegar, and ketchup. Cook this mixture for 3-5 minutes.

Add 4 soya chunks and serve hot
Lastly, add the fried soya nuggets and cook for a minute or two. Then take it out on a serving dish, garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot. Do try this recipe, rate it and let us know how it turned out.
