Janmashtami is a festival celebrated with pomp across the country. Makhan Mishri is synonymous with Lord Krishna, hence it is prepared as bhog for the festival of Janmashtami. It is distributed in the form of prasad after bhog among many preparations. You only need two main ingredients to make this Bhog recipe – Ghee and Mishri. Many people also make Makhan Mishri with Malai, but for this, you need to store the cream for 4-5 days so that you have enough cream. This recipe will make instant Makhan Mishri, which you can make with easily available ingredients. Do try this recipe.

Ingredients for making Makhan Mishri-
1/2 cup ghee
6 ice cubes
4 tbsp sugar candy
2 mint leaves

Method to make Makhan Mishri-
Put ice cubes in a bowl. Now pour ghee into the bowl and beat it quickly with the help of a whisker. Within a minute of whipping, you will see that the butter will start to form. Keep whisking for a few minutes to prepare a smooth mixture. After making the butter, take out the ice cubes from the bowl. Now put sugar candy in the bowl and mix well again. Take out the Makhan Mishri in a bowl and garnish it with two mint leaves. Now your Makhan Mishri Bhog is ready. You can also add cardamom to it. It is completely optional.
