What are the benefits of skin cycling?

This process benefits your skin in many ways. Not only does this routine help you get the most out of the ingredients, but it also avoids burning and irritation of your skin. Exfoliating and retinol-based products can irritate the skin and therefore recovery nights are important.

How to start skin cycling?

  • Exfoliation happens on the first night: Exfoliation is included in the routine of the first night. In this, you apply HA/BHA to your skin which helps in gentle exfoliation. This helps in removing dead skin cells.
  • Apply retinol on the second night: It is recommended to apply retinol on the second night. It helps in speeding up cell turnover. Choose actives for your skin that are gentle on the skin and won't irritate.
  • Recovery in the 3rd and 4th night: Your 3rd and 4th nights are important for recovery. Apply a good moisturizer on your skin these days which includes hyaluronic acid, glycerin etc.
  • From the fifth day, you have to repeat your skin cycling in the same way. Keep in mind one thing its results can be different for everyone. However, a consistent skincare routine that includes exfoliating acids and retinol will give you healthy, radiant skin.

You can also take care of your face in this way. According to Dr Sharad, it is necessary to consult your doctor before starting this skincare routine. Also, she advises pregnant women to avoid retinol products. It is good if you try it only on the advice of the doctor.
