Kedarnath Yatra: The portals of the famous Kedarnath Dham of Uttarakhand have opened. How to reach Kedarnath Dham
To go to Kedarnath, you can take a train, bus, or flight from Delhi or any city to Haridwar or Dehradun. The distance from Delhi to Kedarnath is approximately 466 km. There is no direct rail facility for Kedarnath. You can reach Dehradun in less money by bus or train. Kedarnath can be reached from here by bus or helicopter. It may take a full day to reach Kedarnath from Delhi.

Helicopter booking for Kedarnath
If you do not have much time and are not able to climb on foot, you can register for a helicopter from Dehradun to Kedarnath. You can book heli service tickets on IRCTC's www.heliyatra.irctc.co.in. The passenger has to select the heli operator company and fill in the date and slot time of the journey. The ticket amount has to be paid online only.

Expenses for visiting Kedarnath Dham
Delhi to Dehradun tickets by train or bus will be available from 300 to 1000 rupees. If you do a bus from Dehradun to Gaurikund then it can be from 300 to 500 rupees. Bus service is also available directly from Delhi to Gaurikund, whose fare is Rs 500-1000. If you are taking heli service then per person round trip ticket from Sirsi will be Rs.5498, Phata to Kedarnath Dham ticket will be Rs.5500 and Guptkashi will be Rs.7740. If helicopter service is out of budget then palanquin, horse can also be booked from Gaurikund to Kedarnath.
