Meta-owned popular social media platform Instagram keeps introducing many new features for its users. The company keeps introducing many new updates from time to time. Very soon, users will be able to add song highlights to their Reels like Instagram Stories.
This comes after Instagram was said to be testing some new features over the past few weeks. This feature is currently available only for Instagram Stories.
Adam Mosseri announces new feature
Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced the update on his broadcast channel. He said the team noticed that users were often manually adding song lyrics to their videos. In the announcement, they expressed hope that this feature will help users and make it easier for them to express themselves. He also said that the company is currently working on more features for Reels.
This is how you can use the new feature
While editing Instagram reels, if you want to add song lyrics to the video, then you have to first tap on the music icon and then select music. Once the song (whose lyrics you want to add) is selected, you can swipe left to add lyrics.
It works like the music feature on Instagram Stories, which has allowed us to add music lyrics (if they're available) to Stories for some time.
You will be able to add your photos to Instagram posts
Instagram is testing another new feature. With the help of the new feature, users will be able to add their photos or video to any of their friend's Instagram posts. Instagram head Adam Mosseri said that the platform is testing the new feature, but has not given a rollout date for it.
This feature will let users invite their friends to add them to their Carousel Post on Instagram. Now it will be interesting to see how the new feature will work.
