Two engineer sisters are making headlines these days, who left a package of lakhs and turned to something that had nothing to do with them. We are talking about 'Suta Sisters' Sujata Vishwas and Tanya Vishwas, whose story is very inspiring. These two sisters have no connection with the world of fashion, but they had a different love for sarees. This love was so deep that both these sisters left their corporate jobs and started a brand of sarees. Along with their business, Suta Sisters are also empowering many weavers. This startup was started by both the sisters together.
Earlier also, both the sisters had tried to start two startups, but they were not successful. Both the sisters first started a pancake business, but it did not work. After this, they started their second business but it also failed. Suta is the third startup of Sujata and Tanya, which took them to the heights of success.
Education of Tanya and Sujata
Tanya Vishwas completed her engineering from NIT and after that from IIM Lucknow in 2013, after completing her studies, Tanya Vishwas worked in Tata Group and IBM. Sujata Vishwas completed her graduation degree in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University. After this, Sujata completed her ME degree in Water Resources Engineering from Bengal Engineering College. After this, she completed her PhD degree in Civil Engineering from Kharagpur Indian Institute of Technology.
Business
In the year 2016, both the sisters left their jobs and started the saree business with an investment of 6 lakhs. Before this, they started two more businesses but they did not get success in them. Their first business was Pancake which did not succeed. After this, they started a photography page, this also failed. After this, both these sisters started the saree business, which proved to be a huge success for both of them. Today its total turnover is Rs 50 crore.
