Slime is often used by children to play, it is soft, sticky, smooth and flexible. People buy it from the market or online market. You can make it at home instead of buying it from the market. Usually, it is made from borax powder and glue, but if you do not have both then you can also make it with the help of shampoo and toothpaste and use it for cleaning your laptop, keyboard and car. Due to it being sticky and flexible, it can be easily rubbed by placing it on anything and can be used to clean the dirt, dust and fibres hidden in it. Here we have given two methods of making slime, you can make it at home at your convenience.
How to make slime with toothpaste and shampoo
- To make slime, take 2 tablespoons of shampoo with a thick consistency.
- If the colour of the shampoo is white or transparent, then you can use two to three drops of food colour in it.
- Now add toothpaste to one-fourth quantity of shampoo, you can also use any regular toothpaste in toothpaste.
- Take a toothpick and mix shampoo and toothpaste well.
- If the slime seems hard, you can add more shampoo to it. If the slime has become too soft, you can add toothpaste to it.
- After mixing, freeze it for 5-10 minutes, so that the slime can solidify.
- Take out the slime from the fridge and knead it with your hands until it becomes soft and pliable.
How to Make Slime with Glue and Baking Soda

- ½ cup PVA white glue
- Half a teaspoon of baking soda
- Food color
- Eye contact solution with boric acid
- massage oil
Method to make slime
- Take a bowl and mix PVA glue and half a teaspoon of baking soda in it.
- Add any food colour of your choice and mix well.
- Now add one tablespoon of eye contact solution to it.
- Now add a few drops of baby massage oil to it and mix everything well.
- After mixing, keep it in the freezer for a few minutes, so that it sets well.
- After 10-15 minutes, take it out from the fridge rub it well with your hands and soften it.
- Your slime is ready, you can use it for playing or for cleaning.
