Holi 2023: Malpua is a popular sweet that is eaten with gusto across India. Holi is also near, in such a situation, we are going to tell you the method of making jaggery malpua so that you do not play with your health under the guise of the festival.
Material :
-1/2 grated jaggery
-1 cup whole wheat flour
-1/2 tsp fennel seeds
-1/2 tsp cardamom powder
-3/4 fruit salt (eno powder)
Ghee for cooking
-1/2 tsp cardamom powder
-some pistachio silver
Method :
1. Heat ¾ cup of water in a broad non-stick pan, add the jaggery, mix well, and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes or till the jaggery melts.
2. Switch off the flame and take it out in a bowl to cool slightly.
3. Add wheat flour and fennel seeds and mix well till no lumps remain.
4. Add cardamom powder, fruit salt, and 2 tsp water and mix gently.
5. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and grease it with some ghee.
6. Pour a small spoonful of batter on it and make small-sized balls.
7. Cook using ghee till it turns golden brown from both sides.
8. Make more malpuas in the same manner as the remaining batter.
9. Garnish it with cardamom powder and pistachio silver and serve immediately.
