Religious logic related to drinking water in the middle of worship
- It is described in the scriptures that when we worship such as chanting mantras, reciting verses, singing aarti, garlanding, performing daily worship or special invocations and rituals When we do, at that time our body gets bound by a divine energy.
- It is believed that if we even touch the water at that time, the communication of that energy breaks in the middle and the purity of the worship gets disturbed. That's why it is forbidden to drink water in the middle of worship in religious scriptures so that the sanctity of worship is maintained completely.
Astrological logic related to drinking water in the middle of worship
- Astrology says that when we drink water when we are thirsty during worship, it weakens our planet. A touch of water in the middle of worship weakens Chandra Graha and breaking the sanctity of the place of worship increases the malefic effect of Rahu.
- Also, Mantra Dosh is generated if the chanting of mantras stops midway during the puja, which does not yield the full result of the puja. However, it is mentioned in the scriptures that drinking water is not wrong if the throat is dry while chanting mantras.
- There is also a description of how to drink water. If you feel thirsty in the middle of worship, then keep a separate vessel of water for it and drink only one or two sips of water from that vessel. After drinking water, keep that vessel away and start worshipping again after purifying it with Aachaman.
