The eyes are important for the quality of life. Yet most people do not pay much attention to eye care and usually, the eyes are given attention when there is a problem.

We strain our eyes due to excessive use of digital devices and exposure to too much light. Apart from this, diseases like diabetes which is aggravated by poor lifestyle choices and habits also adversely affect our eyes.

The eyes are the seat of pitta dosha. Alochaka Pitta, in particular, governs the eye and since the pitta dosha becomes more imbalanced with age, ageing affects the eyes.
