Dr. Neha Negi, gynecologist and laparoscopy surgeon at Apollo Medics, Lucknow's largest hospital, said that it is called 'premenstrual dysphoric disorder' or PMDD. It has symptoms like anger, irritability, sadness as well as feeling stressed. During periods, some elements are released in the body which greatly affect the hormones and through hormones, even the mood and brain are affected. It has more impact on some women. The hormones of some women and girls get affected so much during this period that they start having thoughts of suicide.

Mood swings can also occur due to these reasons

Dr. Neha Negi told that during periods, problems like back pain, muscle ache, discomfort as well as flatulence, pain and constipation as well as diarrhea also change the mood from moment to moment, due to which women and girls suffer during this period. Most of the people suffer from problems like irritability, sadness, feeling like crying and being stressed.
