By Santosh Jangid- Many of us have the habit of urinating while bathing, not only this, many people have a desire to urinate when they take a shower, this desire may seem common to you, but health experts warn about it, it can cause many health problems. Today, through this article, we will tell you the reasons for this happening-

1. Incomplete emptying of the bladder

Urinating in the shower does not allow the pelvic floor muscles to relax properly. This incomplete relaxation means that the bladder is not completely empty, which can cause urination to stop.

2. Psychological conditioning and urine leakage

There is a psychological connection between the sound of running water and the urge to urinate. This can cause bladder contractions, especially when a person is exposed to the sound of water, such as in the shower.

For people with urinary problems, especially those with pelvic floor dysfunction, it is advisable to avoid urinating in the shower to prevent further pressure on the bladder and urinary control.

3. Weakness of the pelvic floor muscles

For women in particular, frequent urination while standing can weaken the pelvic muscles. Women are generally advised to urinate while sitting to properly empty the bladder and reduce pressure on the pelvic floor. Men do not usually face this problem as their prostate provides additional support.

4. Hygiene concerns

Peeing in the shower can increase the risk of hygiene problems. Urine contains bacteria and ammonia, which can potentially cause infection, especially if there are open wounds or skin irritations.

5. Potential odor and bathroom cleanliness

Another overlooked consequence of peeing in the shower is the foul odor that develops in your bathroom. Not only does this create an unpleasant environment, but the accumulation of urine in the bathroom can become a breeding ground for bacteria, affecting both health and hygiene.
