Ayurveda expert Dr. Deeksha Bhavsar Savaliya says that along with preventing/curing a disease, Ayurveda also helps in preventing its complications. For example, most people with diabetes (for 5+ years) also suffer from high cholesterol or high blood pressure even after taking anti-diabetic pills.
