Health problems increase
As Werner syndrome progresses, health problems associated with ageing may develop earlier in a person's life. People with Werner syndrome have an increased risk of cancer – especially thyroid cancer and skin cancer. Individuals with Werner syndrome usually live into their late forties or early fifties. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death from this syndrome.

What is the reason?
