Ingredients to make Hara Bhara Kebab
Chopped spinach – 2 cups
Boiled potatoes – 2-3
Peas – 3/4 cup
Green chilli – 1-2
Grated ginger – 1/2 tsp
Green Coriander – 3 tbsp
Breadcrumbs – 3 tbsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
Cardamom powder – 1 pinch
Mango powder – 3/4 tsp
Roasted gram flour – 3 tbsp
Oil – 3 tbsp
Salt – as per taste
How to make Hara Bhara Kebab
To make Hara Bhara Kebab, first, clean the spinach and then break the thick stalk behind it and wash it with clean water. After this, heat water in a vessel add spinach leaves to it, and boil it. After some time, take out the spinach leaves from the hot water immediately put them in cold water, and leave them for a minute. After this chop the spinach finely. Then boil potatoes and peas also.
Now take a pan add one spoon of oil in it and heat it on low flame. After the oil is hot, add boiled peas and sauté for some time. After this, add chopped spinach and salt as per taste and cook. These have to be sauteed until the water from spinach and peas dries up. After this, mix green coriander and turmeric in it and cook for one more minute, then turn off the gas.
Now grind green chilies and ginger in a mixer and take them out in a small bowl. After this, peel the boiled potatoes and then mash them. Now add ginger-chili paste, dry mango powder, garam masala, and cardamom powder to the potatoes and mix well. Then add roasted gram flour bread powder and salt as per taste and mix properly.
Now add spinach and peas to this mixture and mix everything well and mix it well. After this, take small amounts of the mixture in your hands, shape them into kebabs, and keep them on a plate. After all the green kebabs are ready, pour oil on a non-stick pan, place the kebabs, and cook until they become golden from both sides. Serve the flavourful green kebabs with chutney or tomato sauce.
