Why only ginger and rock salt?

Ginger

Ginger has bhedan (laxative), deepana (appetizer) and guru (heavier) properties, which promote digestion. Ginger also helps in reducing the symptoms of cough, cold and body aches due to its vata-kapha balancing nature.

Ginger helps in improving digestion by increasing the absorption of food, thereby improving metabolism. It is especially good for people who experience constipation. In addition, ginger is known to improve the digestive enzymes trypsin and chymotrypsin of the pancreas.

Rock salt

Rock salt is also very good for digestion. It enhances the taste of food and helps in the digestion of food. Also, rock salt acts as a laxative and also pacifies vatadosha.

Ayurveda recommends eating rock salt because it contains beneficial nutrients like potassium, iron, calcium, zinc, magnesium, and copper.
