In Maharashtra, women welcome Ganpati Bappa by dressing up well. During this time they wear traditional Nauvari saree, which looks very beautiful. If you are also thinking of wearing a Nauvari saree to welcome Bappa this time, then this article is for you. Here we will tell you how to wear Nauvari saree easily. So that you too can show your Marathi look.
This is the method: Wearing a Nauvari saree gives a very beautiful look. If you are wearing it for the first time, you can also wear something like a legging on your feet if you want. Now start wearing the saree.
To wear a Nauvari saree, first divide the saree into two parts. Now keep one-third of the saree on the right-hand side and let the rest of the part remain on the left-hand side. After this, hold both the corners of the saree like a dhoti and tie a tight knot on the waist. This knot should be tight.
After tying it, hold the saree from the opposite side and make pleats of it. Take these pleats from between the legs and attach them to the waist at the back. Attach it properly with a pin so that it does not open.
Now make pleats again in the remaining saree, as is done in the normal way, and then take it out from the right side leg make a pallu towards the front, and attach it with a pin. This pallu will be like a normal saree. Attach it properly on the shoulder so that it does not move while dancing to welcome Bappa.
