Sheermal can be easily made at home without a tandoor. Which is very easy and at the same time a way to calm a little hunger. Let's know its recipe.

Ingredients:

  • All-purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Desi ghee - 1/2 cup
  • Saffron - 1/4 tsp
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - as per taste

Method :

For this, first, take flour in a big bowl. Add ghee, sugar, and baking powder and mill it well.

After this, add saffron and a tablespoon of hot water in a small bowl, mix it well and mix everything by putting it in a bowl of fine flour. Then add milk little by little and knead a soft dough.

Cover the dough with a wet cotton cloth and keep it aside for half an hour.

After this, take the dough and knead it once more to make uniform balls.

Now roll the dough. After this, make holes in the roti with a fork and spoon.

Put the nonstick pan to heat. When the griddle gets hot, put these rolled rotis on it.

When one side puffs up a bit, turn the roti over and roast it.

After puffing up from the other side as well, remove the roti from the griddle and bake it on an open flame till it turns golden brown from both sides.
