Two days ago, film editor Gautham Raju had passed away and now there is a shock of the departure of another personality in the Telugu film industry. Tollywood filmmaker Gorantla Rajendra Prasad passed away in the early hours of Thursday, which has shocked the people of the entire cinema. According to his family, the filmmaker was battling health issues for a long time and he breathed his last at the age of 86 on the same day.

Gorantla Rajendra Prasad has worked with superstars like Allu Arjun and Rana Daggubati, who are called top actors of Telugu cinema. He was one of the top filmmakers of Tollywood. He tried his hand in production with Ramudu Bheemudu. In the year 1963, he invested in the film business and produced the superhit film along with D Ramanaidu. Prasad founded Madhavi Pictures and made many big budget films. Some of the most famous Telugu films produced by him are 'Kurukshetra', 'Dorababu' and 'Suputrudu' which are ANR and Manjula starrer.

Gautam Raju died before Prasad
Before him, noted film editor Gautam Raju died on Wednesday and this is the second tragedy for the industry with Prasad's passing. Gautam Raju has edited around 800 Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi language films. Like Gorantala, he has worked as an editor for many stars including Chiranjeevi. It is being told that Ram Charan's father has donated Rs 2 lakh to Gautam Raju's family. Many stars have expressed grief over the death of Gautam Raju and Rajendra Prasad.

Prasad was ill for a long time but Raju last worked in Mohan Babu's Son of India. The film directed by Diamond Ratnababu was not liked by the audience. He also recently worked on the film Ramudu Anukoledhi Janaki Kalaganaledu.
