He said that passengers travelling by DTC bus in Delhi can now book and buy tickets through the chatbot itself. For this, WhatsApp has started a ticketing service based on a QR code, which is available in the entire Delhi-NCR.

DTC became the first government bus service

With this, DTC has become the first government transport service of any state for which a ticketing facility is available on WhatsApp. If you also want to use this new service, then for this you will have to either scan the bar code or send a message by writing 'Hi' to +91 8744073223. So that everyone can use this facility, WhatsApp has started it in both Hindi and English.

The process to book DTC ticket through WhatsApp:

  • First, scan the QR code to start chatting
  • Or send a message 'Hi' to +91 8744073223
  • Select your preferred language once the chat starts
  • After that, a new page will open
  • Now select the source station and destination
  • Below you will be able to choose the option of AC or non-AC bus.
  • Now the option to make payment will come
  • Your ticket will be booked as soon as payment is made.

You can book so many tickets at one time

Using this facility available on WhatsApp, customers can book up to six tickets at a time. If you frequently travel on a fixed route, then the facility of shortcuts will be available to you and you will not need to choose the source station and destination again and again. In Delhi, a metro ticket booking facility is already available on WhatsApp.
