It would not be wrong to say that Indians find excuses to drink tea on everything. Be it happiness or sorrow, headache or breakup tea is the medicine for every problem. Even people's eyes do not open until they get a cup of tea in the morning. The relation of Indians with tea is like that of Mehboob where we have tea. But it is said that too much of anything causes harm.

Similarly, excessive consumption of tea is also injurious to health. If you are also fond of drinking tea, then start reducing this habit. We have spoken to AnupamaGirotra, a dietician and nutritionist by profession, on what are the side effects of drinking tea in excess. They told us that drinking tea is not good for our health.

Sleep deprivation

If you drink a lot of tea, then leave this habit. Caffeine is found in tea, which can cause sleep problems. Because a hormone called melatonin is found in our body, which tells our brain that now it is time to sleep. But caffeine can inhibit melatonin production, which can lead to sleep deprivation. Less sleep means having other health problems. Such as fatigue, loss of memory and irritability etc.

Feeling tense and nervous

In this hectic life, it is normal to have tension and nervousness. But there are reasons for this. One of the reasons is tea. Excessive consumption of tea leads to a feeling of tension and nervousness. Explain that more caffeine is found in black tea than in green and white tea.

Stains on the teeth

Have your teeth turned yellow? Are there stains on the teeth? The reason for this is drinking too much tea. Tannins are found in black, green and herbal teas, which lighten the colour of the teeth. People who drink green tea get light grey stains on their teeth whereas black tea causes yellow spots. However, many people find that herbal teas like chamomile and hibiscus are perfect, but it's not like that. Drinking these teas daily can also affect the teeth.

Having trouble with pregnancy

The timing of pregnancy is a bit delicate. During this, women should take special care of their health. Otherwise many kinds of problems start. Similarly, drinking tea during pregnancy is not recommended because drinking tea can cause miscarriage. Along with this, the weight of the child also decreases. If you are pregnant, you should only consume no more than 200 milligrams of caffeine a day. 40-50 grams of caffeine is found in green and black tea. So if you are used to drinking tea, then you can drink these teas.

Having Stomach problems

If you drink more tea than you need, then reduce this habit now. Because drinking tea causes stomach-related problems. Such as burning, bloating and pain in the stomach, etc because caffeine increases acid production.
