YagyaHavan has great importance in Hinduism. The tradition of YajnaHavan is going on since Treta Yuga. It is believed that by performing YagyaHavan, negativity is removed and positivity is communicated.

Generally, YagyaHavan is considered only, but there is a deep difference between the two. Based on the information given by Astrology Expert DrRadhakant Vats, today we are going to tell you the difference between Yagya and Havan.

What is Yagya?

  • The description of Yagya is found in the Vedas. Yagya was first created by Brahma ji .Yagya is like a ritual which is performed by saints or pundits.
  • Guru Mantras are recited while performing the Yagya. The fire that is kindled for the Yajna is called Yagyagni. Yagya is included in the method of rituals.
  • Yagya is mainly performed for some big and social purpose, such as to win the war, to avoid evil, for rain etc.
  • Yagya is performed for the worship of God as well as for the welfare of the people. The sacrifice given in Yagya is linked to the resolution.

What is Havan?

  • Havan is called a small form of Yagya. That is, the Yagya performed at home is not a yagya but a havan. Havan can be performed by any member of the family.
  • There is no rule for Havan to be performed by saints. In Hinduism, Havan is considered a ritual of purification. Mantras are also chanted in Havan.
  • The mantras of Havan are different from the Yajna mantras. The mantras of Havan are not seed mantras but are general mantras which are related to household problems from purification.
  • Havan removes the negativity of the house and instead of public welfare;Havan is performed for solving personal problems.
  • Havan is also done for devotion to God and the prosperity of the house, although it is not necessary to have a resolution associated with the offering of Havan.
