Egg For Diabetes: If you like to eat eggs, then there is good news for you. Although there are many benefits of eating eggs, research has shown that the consumption of eggs reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes. A study published in the 'American Journal of Clinical Nutrition' found that men who ate four eggs a week had a 37 per cent lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes than men who ate just one egg a week.

The big revelation in research
Researchers from the University of Eastern Finland studied the eating habits of 2,332 men in the age group of 42- to 60 years between 1984 and 1989. After this, during their follow-up for 19 years, 432 men were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

Benefits of eating eggs
It was found in the study that the consumption of eggs reduced the risk of type-2 diabetes and the glucose level in the blood. Possible confounding factors such as physical activity, body mass index, smoking and intake of fruits and vegetables were also taken into account.
