Know what Ayurveda says about curd
According to Ayurveda expert Dr. Diksha Bhavsar Savaliya, the curd is sour in taste, hot in nature, and takes more time for digestion. Its consumption increases weight increases physical strength and improves digestion power.

One should avoid eating curd in cold, as it increases secretion from glands, leading to mucus congestion which affects overall health. The buildup of mucus creates a lot of problems for people who have breathing problems, asthma, colds, and cough. So avoid consuming curd in winter and especially at night.

When and how to consume curd
Obesity, Kapha disorders, bleeding disorders, and people who have bloating problems should avoid consuming curd. Curd should not be consumed at night. If you want to eat curd, you can have it sometimes in the afternoon time and less quantity.


Curd should not be consumed daily. If you want to consume curd daily, then you can consume whey buttermilk in which spices like rock salt, black pepper, and cumin have been mixed.
Yogurt should never be mixed with fruits as it is a channel blocker (incompatible food). Consuming it for a long time can cause digestive problems and allergies.
Curd should also not be eaten with meat and fish as curd cooked with meat like chicken, mutton and fish increases the toxins in the body.
