There are different ways of investing in gold around the world. Every country tries to reserve maximum gold for itself. Gold deposited with the government or government bank is 'Gold Reserve'. 1. America
The country which has the most gold is America. According to the World Gold Council, the US has 8,133.46 metric tonnes of gold. The US keeps a gold reserve at Fort Knox in Kentucky. According to the Federal Reserve, 147.3 million ounces of gold bricks have been kept in this fort. It is also called the United States Bullion Depository.
2. Germany
Germany has 3,355.14 metric tonnes of gold, which is less than half that of the US. Germany has the world's largest gold reserves, but there hasn't been much gain in the past year. In such a situation, till March 2023, it has 3355 tonnes of gold reserves.
3. Italy
Italy has less than Germany i.e. 2,451.84 MT gold reserve. Let us tell you that it was 2451.84 tonnes in the first quarter of 2022 and it remained unchanged at 2451.84 tonnes in the second quarter as well. Banca d'Italia, Italy's national bank, began storing gold in 1893.
4. France
The name of France is recorded in fourth place. France, which is among the countries with the highest gold reserves, has 2436.5 metric tonnes of gold reserves. Gold reserves in France remained unchanged at 2436.50 tonnes in the second quarter of 2022. In the first quarter of the year, 2022 was 2436.50 tonnes.
5. Russia Gold Reserve
It is the official central bank and owns 2,301.64 metric tonnes of gold. According to the World Gold Council, by November 2022, central banks have bought 673 tonnes of gold, the most since 1967.
6. People's Bank of China
This bank is located in Beijing. It has 2,010.51 metric tonnes of gold and most of the gold was bought after the year 2000.
