Lyricist Ibrahim Ashk said goodbye to the world at the age of 70. He passed away on Sunday due to COVID-19 related complications and pneumonia. Ashk is known for writing songs for films like "Kaho Na Pyaar Hai" and "Koi... Mil Gaya".

Daughter gave information about the death
Ashk's daughter Mussafa said that her father was admitted to Meditech Hospital in the city after he complained of breathlessness. His father was diagnosed with COVID-19 pneumonia, which affected his lungs. Mussafa told that he was admitted to the hospital on Saturday after being very ill.

Funeral will be held today
He had covid pneumonia, which doctors told us that his lungs were affected and he was having difficulty in breathing. Mussafa told that his father said goodbye to the world on Sunday evening, he will be cremated this morning. Born in Madhya Pradesh, Ashk did his post-graduation in Hindi literature from Indore University in 1974. He was a poet of the Urdu language. He also later worked as a journalist.
