Chhath Puja 2023 Prasad Recipe: Chhath Puja is starting today. This four-day festival is celebrated almost in the entire country. However, the enthusiasm for Chhath Puja is more in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. On the occasion of Chhath Puja, the fast begins by offering water to the Sun. A waterless fast of 36 hours is observed. It is one of the biggest and most difficult festivals of Hindu religion. Chhath Puja is also famous for its Prasad. Various types of Prasad are offered on the occasion of Chhath Puja. Thekua Prasad is offered in Chhath Puja. If you are making delicious Thekua for Prasad then you can adopt this recipe.
Thekua making ingredients
half kilo wheat flour
250 grams jaggery
Ghee is required for frying
ground cardamom
1 cup grated coconut
Special way of making Thekua
Step 1- To make Thekua, first break the jaggery into small pieces.
Step 2- Now boil one cup of water in a vessel, add jaggery to it, and cook.
Step 3- Once the jaggery melts well and dissolves with water, turn off the gas.
Step 4- Filter the melted jaggery syrup, add flour to it, and mix well.
Step 5- Mix green cardamom and coconut powder in the flour and knead the dough tightly.
Step 6- Make small balls of the kneaded dough. Give shape to the dough by pressing it lightly with your hands.
Step 7- Now put ghee in a pan and heat it.
Step 8- Add thekua in hot oil and fry till it turns golden.
After the thekua is cooked, take it out from the pan. Delicious Thekua is ready for Chhath Puja Prasad.
