What happens in this fraud?
First of all, understand what happens in this fraud. Actually, cyber thugs first send wedding cards to people through WhatsApp, Instagram, or other social media platforms. Now the way the wedding season is going on, people assume that someone has sent them a wedding invitation. In such a situation, people click on these wedding cards, which is natural.
At the same time, as soon as you click on these digital wedding cards, a malware virus enters your mobile phone, and an APK app gets installed. After this, hackers hack your mobile with the help of this malware and withdraw money from your bank account.
How can you avoid this fraud?
First of all, keep in mind that these fake messages come from unknown numbers or from any social media account that you do not know. Therefore, never open any message from an unknown number or click on it.
The police have advised people not to open or download any wedding card any other message or any other file from an unknown number.
